An organization co-founded by NSHIMIYIMANA Alphonse and NSABIMANA Innocent.

About Nshimiyimana Alphonse: His life story has been marked with multiple issues. He was raised and went to school in rural Rwanda, during a time when the effects of the 1994 Genocide perpetrated against the Tutsi were strongly felt. His early years were marked by poverty, challenges in raising enough school fees, and he also faced starvation. Alphonse went to school with children who were in the same situation as him, and who came from unstable families.

He was and still is saddened by the witnessing of children dropping out of school because of a lack of school fees and school materials. This sadness extends to the young teenagers who deal with pregnancy while still in school. These issues drove him to vow to care wholeheartedly for vulnerable people in Rwandan families. And thus, the idea of Umurame Ministries was born.

• Alphonse co-founded Umurame Ministries with Pastor NSABIMANA Innocent. The partnership originated from the common need to help vulnerable people. Pastor Nsabimana Innocent is a humble man who actively listens to people with problems, who leads with empathy, and who prays for and counsels those who are in need. He had developed the passion and commitment as Nshimiyimana Alphonse did and together, they founded Umurame Ministries.

• Pastor Nsabimana Innocent dedicated himself to using his gifts, listening to the vulnerable, helping people with various issues and praying for and with people who have various requests.
This gift has allowed him to meet sick people, caregivers with no means to care for the sick in the hospital, and men and women seeking family conflict solutions. Such conflicts are brought about by poverty, drug abuse, and poor mindsets. These, and a lack of unity in the family, are the very causes of disharmony in the family, increased drop-outs from schools, and family
separations or divorce.

• To respond to those issues, Alphonse and Innocent who live in the rural area of Bugesera, worship in the same church and share the same burden as expressed above, they together founded this organization which was given the legal recognition/personality on 31/3/2023 aimed at the welfare of the people.

• After receiving legal recognition, Umurame Ministries started helping immediately the vulnerable. This was well received by local leaders who subsequently wished to have a collaborative agreement with Umurame Ministries.
